Graham Farish Mk1 Sleeper coach

Graham Farish adds to its Mk.1 coaching stock range with a refined and well-detailed sleeper coach.

One of two new N gauge Mk.1 sleeper models released in early 2014 under the Graham Farish label is E2575,
a second Class sleeper dressed in BR blue and grey livery and photographed from the corridor side of the coach.


A pleasing addition to the Graham Farish range is a pair of sleeper coaches - the first class SLF and second class SLSTP. Three types of Mk.1 sleeper coach were constructed from 1957 including the two models represented by the Graham Farish model together with a composite coach (SLC). The convertible coach (SLEP) which had multi purpose cabins fitted with fold-away upper bunks to create single occupancy compartments for first class passengers when required was a later conversion from second class coaches to cater for fluctuations in seasonal travel demands.

The bodyshell for all four vehicles is essentially the same, the main differences between the four coach types being internal, relating to the arrangement of the berths. Externally, the length of the roof ducting varied slightly between first and second class vehicles.
